 Chairman Zhou Wei attended the Summer Summit 2017 of "China Shipping 50 Forum"

On July 10, Zhou Wei, Chairman of the Company led a team to attend the Summer Summit 2017 of "China Shipping 50 Forum" held in Ningbo.



Chairman Zhou Wei said at the summit that, in the new normal of excess shipping capacity and shipbuilding overcapacity at present, the industry development depends on not only the integration but also innovation. In these two aspects, financial leasing companies are promising that they can, on the one hand, use financial resources to promote the integration of small- and medium-sized shipping enterprises for getting through the industry downturn, on the other hand, utilize financial resources to innovate business mode, to improve the management ability of ship assets, and to help the shipping enterprises reduce the asset-liability ratio, making a positive contribution to the development of the industry.



As the only invited participant of financial institution, Chairman Zhou Wei conducted exchanges and discussions with Xu Zuyuan, former Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Transportation, Mao Jian, Chairman of Zhejiang Port Group Co., Ltd., Zhang Zhengyong, Chairman of Evergreen Marine Corporation Limited, Xie Zhijian, Chairman of Yangming Marine Transport Corporation, Tim Smith, President of Maersk for Greater China and other domestic and foreign well-known shipping entrepreneurs as well as the leaders of competent authorities in charge of shipping, which further improves the sub-brand popularity of Minsheng Ship Leasing.

As a high-end think-tank of the domestic shipping industry, the summit was initiated jointly by the five entities including Dalian Maritime University, Shanghai Maritime University, China Waterborne Transport Research Institute, Shanghai Shipping Exchange, China Shipping Weekly, which brings together the responsible persons of domestic and foreign well-known shipping enterprises, governmental leaders of relevant authorities in charge of shipping, and well-known industry associations etc.
